corruption continue news continue
Following increasing complaints about overpricing and fake billing at liquor stores in the district, an investigation was conducted under the direction of Collector Harish S., led by Additional Collector C.P. Baghel, with a joint team from the Excise Department and administration. The investigation report claimed that everything was found in order—no liquor was sold above MRP, no fake bills were issued, and CCTV footage showed no irregularities.
But the real question is—when a media sting operation uncovered clear evidence of overpricing and billing fraud, why did the investigation team fail to notice it?
Was This a Whitewash Investigation?
➡ Did the investigation team speak to the customers who were charged extra?
➡ Was the media sting operation considered in the investigation?
➡ Did they conduct a secret inquiry with customers, or was it just a formality?
Employees at the liquor store have been accused of charging more than the MRP and issuing fake bills when asked for one.
On February 23, 2025, at 2:56 PM, our sources purchased beer from the liquor shop at Kewdamunda Chandni Chowk.
- The MRP of Simba Pride Series Strong 650ml beer was ₹220, but ₹250 was charged.
- When asked for a bill, they provided a bill for “Simba Jungle 650ml” instead of the actual purchased beer.
- When questioned about the overpricing, the salesman responded—”The rates have increased!”
- However, the bottle itself clearly displayed an MRP of ₹220.
Now, the investigation report claims that everything is in order—so why did the sting operation reveal clear irregularities?
CCTV Footage Isn’t Everything!
The investigation report states that CCTV footage was checked and found no violations.
But the real question is—do such irregularities happen right in front of the cameras?
If no wrongdoing is occurring, then the district administration should make the CCTV footage public.
Let them release the footage from February 23 at 2:56 PM from the liquor shop—then the truth will speak for itself.
Will the BJP Government Take Action Against Corruption?
The BJP government in Chhattisgarh claims to promote good governance and a corruption-free administration.
But if no strict action is taken against guilty officials, liquor contractors, salesmen, and supervisors, then the people will lose faith in both the government and the administration.
Now, the key questions are:
- What action will the District Collector take on this scam?
- What strict measures will be taken against corrupt officials in the Excise Department?
- Will the government truly implement good governance, or will this case be buried in files?
Questions from the Public:
- If the MRP is ₹220, why are liquor shop employees charging ₹250?
- Why is a fake bill issued when a customer asks for a bill?
- Why is the Excise Inspector avoiding answering questions?
- Why does the investigation team always try to show that everything is fine?
- Will the BJP government take action against corrupt officials, or will they let the public continue to be looted?
Now, It’s the District Administration’s Responsibility—Check the CCTV Footage & Take Action!
If the Excise Department and the District Administration are truly honest, they should make the CCTV footage public to reveal the truth.
If no action is taken, it will be clear that high-ranking officials are involved in the corruption happening at liquor shops!
